Trenton, N.J. New Jersey Republicans tell National Review Online that Gov. Chris Christie will not run for president. The governor, they predict, will make this clear at a press conference this afternoon. Per his schedule, hell meet with reporters at 1 p.m. outside his office.
Isn’t this about the 5th time that he’s had to deny it? The media is desperate for him to run, and so is the establishment.
If true Romney is sleeping well tonight...
How many times has the Big Man had to say this? Five, six maybe? He’s been denying it for months now. (And it’s the right decision IMO. He’s doing a good enough job right where he is.)

She was never in.
YES! I hope this is true. I want him to stay here in NJ, and I don’t want to see him butchered by the GOP base. If this is true, I am very glad and proud of the Governor for staying the course.
Who is she?
Our local conservative radio host had a guy on this morning that has written a book, can’t remember the name but I’ll post it in a bit.
He stated that the GOP is scrambling and very worried about Cain and even all the followers of Ron Paul, and that Chris Christie is being pushed to get into the race only to eat up news cycles for about two months or so in order to keep Romney at the top. Christie doesn’t want to do it because it hurts him politically because he’ll be nothing but a stalking horse and mess up his governorship to boot. His only purpose will be to keep the focus off the campaign entirely. Cain will be drowned out, Christie will get all the news stories and media attention, and Romney will remain on top. It’s akin to suspending the campaign for two months which keeps Romney from “peaking” to early. This person also said that Perry was in fact, the same thing. This is all being orchestrated by the GOP to make sure a true conservative candidate doesn’t win the White House. He was very convincing and it makes a lot of sense.
I know
Yeah, because with the whole Europe collapsing thing and the slight problem of most of the banking sector being bankrupt everywhere but on paper, the stock market really gives a rat’s donkey about what Chris Christie does.
The other candidate who hasn’t ‘decided’.
This will create quite an interesting chain of events, those that wish to start an agenda and those who won’t be pressured to move against their agenda.
Christie out, Cain on the road, Perry stuck on stupid.
I can already feel a growing sense of frustrated political junkies building on the web.
Interesting times ahead.
Well, at one point he asked “What do I have to do short of suicide to convince you people I’m not running?” Maybe today, to put it to rest once and for all, he will pour gas on himself and light a match. Nah, that probably won’t stop the speculation. The pundits would just keep asking whether his ashes are going to run.
I agree with your report. Cain is a big major threat. Look for more on here and elsewhere to analyze every statement he makes such as “insensitive” to try and beat him down.
Haven't you noticed a disturbing similarity between Krispy Cream and Chaz Bono?
Good! I’m glad that’s over. Now we can all get back to betting on what date Palin will pick to announce! :)
Nice to receive my weekly “Christie’s Out” notification early in the week this week.
See you all here again next week.
Looks like their worst nightmare is coming true (note tagline).

I believe the other candidate has decided, but is waiting to announce for her own strategic reasons. I may be wrong or I may be right.
