There are differences of philosophy between progressives and libertarians, but we CAN agree on at least four issues upon which we can make immediate and concrete demands. Success on these demands would go a very long way toward saving the United States and prevent us from falling deeper into serfdom and slavery.
We may never have a better chance than right now.

HEY!!! You GOT to see this!
Ron Paul is going to become a democrat before he leaves congress. He’s sliding further and further left all the time.
Like I have repeatedly said, L. Ron Paul (And his supporters) have gone so far Right, that they came back out on the Left.
Heh, I wonder if this is going to be Ron Paul is going to run third party. That would ruin any hope Obama has.
That’s what Rush used to say. Politics is a circle and you can go so far right that you end up on the left.
You might have something here . Hmmm...
Not true. There’s always been some positions that most Freepers don’t agree with. And these days, it seems that he talks about those issues a lot. His positions don’t change, emphasis does. The questions he gets in the debates are designed to remind the voters of the handful of places where he isn’t in agreement with most Freepers. He’s in favor of much less government. If you want much less government, he’s got the record of that. Most Republicans want less government in some areas and more government in others. Same as Democrats, really, except Republicans and Democrats have different tastes in what they want their big government to look like.
When Ron Paul announced in 2007, 4 years ago, the antiwar crowd was not really a big part of Ron Paul’s base. They were all Democrats. Ron Paul’s base was goldbugs, conspiracy theorists, Birchers, and, to some degree, libertarians, although Ron Paul did not then and does not now agree with libertarians on all issues.
What has happened is antiwar people have become Ron Paul supporters, and libertarians have a much much larger place at the Ron Paul table. The old-time anti Govt people were told by the antiwar people that their conspiracy theories were hurting Ron Paul, but Ron Paul’s antiwar stances were to be encouraged.
There are some Ron Paul supporters who want to try to persuade occupy. There are other Ron Paul supporters who recognize that occupy is almost the opposite of Ron Paul.
Occupy is against markets. They’d rather the government hand you your stuff. They’d like a government job they can suck at or one that allows them to push you around. The one person I know that went to occupy also went to the SEIU protests.
Race Bannon - this thread needs your tagline!
I realized a few years ago that Libertarians are the ultra kook anarchy fringe of the left.
It was only a matter of time....
RuPaul might be right about the Fed, but a ringing endorsement from Ralph Nader is reason 987,843 not to vote for RuRu.
Patriot Ron Paul changes stance on Don't Ask, Don't Tell, votes for Repeal
Paul and like minded liberals.
Oh well, here’s RB’s tagline:
Ron Paul is to the Constitution what Fred Phelps is to the Bible.
