Thanks for your clarification - that makes sense. It would be interesting to hear the whole exchange in context. Apparently you cannot utter “Obama” and “Hitler” in the same sentence, lol...
I’ll side with Hank on this one.The hell with MNF.
It’s not a Free Speech issue. They aren’t obligated to employ anyone.
I have a Dish PVR and I set up FNF to record at 2am when its starts, an hour or two later when I get up I then rewind the show, skip the commercials and lame stuff and I get the gist of the news, at least some news instead of this moronic trio trying to herd political inputs into just awakening Americans.
Anyway I happened to be up earlier and watched this live, Hank Jr. I sincerely hope becomes Sarah Palins official song writer. I am tire of tippy toeing around this affirmative action piece of trash that is like a pustule I cannot reach on my behind.
I just say no to thugsport
What an idiot!!
Liberals say horrible things about us - and they NEVER lose their jobs...
He had every right to say what he said. ABC had every right to fire him for saying it. There are consequences to that free speech thing
NFL is skating on thin ice.
If the right is smart, it will destroy them.
The first thing is to stop CARING about what other guys playing games do.
Think what the world would feel like if someone said something bad about a Tea Party member - and lost their job for it. That’s the world liberals live in...
Brief moment of clarity here - the 1st Amendment protects you from governmental repercussions for exercising your freedom of speech. Nothing forces private enterprise to grant you the same immunity. Nor should it.
That said, come on, Nazi reference? Someone needs to cut back on their caffeine.
Wonder how many Super Bowl half time acts member made disparaging remarks regarding President Bush and still preformed? Unfortunately with the censorship they are proving Hank’s correct.
Ah, yes, Disney the liberal media company. We’ll be keeping track of sponsors tonight and making our feelings known about their decision to advertise on MNF. A lot.
Oh no. GRETCHEN SAID THE ANALOGY WAS BETWEEN OBAMA AND THE PRESIDENT.
OBAMA COULD HAVE BEEN NETENYAHU UNDER THE ANALOGY.
What Hank meant was they were polar opposites. He could have said the lion and the lamb.
Gretchen set him up and he walked right into it. He should have been smarter than that, but she got what she wanted.
No, we live in a world, or a least a country, where private organizations like ESPN-Disney and the NFL can choose who they wish to have a business relationship with and who they wish to no longer have a business relationship with.
If you wish to change that, you can buy a majority stake in Disney and purchase an NFL team and convince the other NFL owners that Hank should continue to work with MNF.
,,,,,, you bring the marshmellows and Ted will roast em’ . Hank will bring the beer and chips and Eric Holder will bring the fast and furious guns . Now that’s a party !!!
Did you actually see the interview?
Williams appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, or at best half asleep during the interview.
As I said before, he was not comparing Obama to Hitler. He was making the point that Boehner had no business sucking up to Obama on the golf course.
Perhaps he could have said "Lee and Grant", or "Roadrunner and Wiley Coyote", or "Bristol and Levi", but he came up with the first example of opposites that came to mind.
Who knows? Maybe he was comparing BiBi to Hitler, because he certainly never said who was "who".
It all boils down to Gretchen Carlson seeing an opportunity to blow it out of proportion, and act all self righteously PC.
"FOX and Fiends".
