Herman Cain pushed back Monday against criticism that he had unfairly called opponent Rick Perry "insensitive" when asked about a rock displaying a racial epithet at a ranch leased by the Texas governor.
All I said was the mere fact that that word was there was insensitive, Cain said outside Trump Tower in Manhattan, N.Y., according to the National Review. Thats not playing the race card. I am not attacking Gov. Perry. Some people in the media want to attack him. Im done with that issue!
Cain was in Manhattan to meet with businessman Donald Trump.

Nice try, Herm.
Damn droid, card, = yard
I hope he learns from this and keeps his mind on Obama. He's got the lead......use it!

He’s gonna have some thick calves from all the backpedalling.
Cain made it sound like Perry was guilty as charged.
Very unfortunate for Herman. You did play the race card.
Go Rangers!!
The takeaway from this is that no candidate should answer any question from the dirtbag mainstream media assuming that they are accurately representing the facts until they’ve independently verified that the facts are true. Cain needs to stop opining about things outside of his area of expertise until he’s sure he can stand by what he’s saying.
I heard Cain clearly yesterday.
True - they all need to take a play out of the Dem playbook and say, “I am not familiar with all the facts here. Why don’t you ask me about the Solyndra or Fast and Furious scandals or about how the President is seeking to worsen the economy by raising taxes?
Cain can deny all he wants, but he did play the race card towards Perry. Why didn’t he decline to answer until he had all the facts?
You'd think that Herman would think well of the family that wiped such an unpleasant, insensitive word off of the rural Texas landscape nearly THIRTY YEARS ago.
But nope, apparently not - and that makes Cain look small. What a shame, I figured him for a smarter fellow.
I wonder if the name “Godfather’s Pizza” was offensive to anyone of note, or if it is in the ‘making fun of Catholics an Christians is fair game’ category.
I saw the interview. With limited information, Cain called the situation “insensitive” because the N word is offensive to Blacks. Imagine a Black man saying that! He seemed to strike a moderate position that was nowhere near playing the “race card” as we all know it.
Dear Whackadoodles, Trolls and Astroturfers,
This is not an Al Sharpton moment. Let’s wait to see how Cain reacts when he hears the facts of the story. BTW, the story was so pitifully weak that some suspect the Perry camp of leaking it. That way he gets sympathy from those of us who hate the LSM. Interesting hypothesis.
The MSM pulled a gotcha to try and stir trouble up between the candidates. I was trying to figure out what they would use to trip Mr. Cain up. Their original tactic was to ignore him. One the things I admire about Mr. Cain most is his ability to answer questions on the fly. The leftist pro’s saw this as a weakness and exploited it. I am sorry it is a non-issue. It was meant to be a distraction and sucked a lot of gullible people in. You are just acting as a pawn for the MSM if you make a big deal out of it.

Your post #13. So simple. So wise. If all the repubs did that they’d have the media on the ropes in no time.
BTW, I accept Cain’s “done with it”. He made a mistake, he’s moving on, so should we.
If a moderator in the next debate tries to bring this up, all the candidates should call out “WE’RE DONE WITH THAT!!!”
Im done with that issue!

And then he went on Hannity and talked about it some more...
