Country music singer Hank Williams Jr. compared President Obama to Adolph Hitler in an awkward interview Monday morning on Fox and Friends. Williams called the golf summit the president had with Speaker of the House John Boehner “one of the biggest political mistakes ever.” “It would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu, OK?”
Williams appeared on the program to share his thoughts on politics, but the segment got weird early on as the country music star curiously sulked with his arms crossed.
Anchor Gretchen Carlson asked Williams who he liked in the GOP race, which he replied “Nobody.” A shocked Steve Doocy exclaimed, “Nobody!?”
This triggered Williams to bash Obama and Boehner’s golf game and compare the president to Hitler. All three Fox and Friends anchors sat nonplussed in utter bewilderment.
”Yeah, I don’t understand that analogy, actually,” responded a perplexed Brian Kilmeade.
“Well, I’m glad you don’t, brother, because a lot of people do,” Williams snapped. “You know, they’re the enemy. They’re the enemy.” Kilmeade was thrown for a loop. “Who’s the enemy?”
“Obama!” Williams thundered.
Following the bizarre interview, Carlson disavowed the comparison of the president to the Nazi leader. “I just want to say that we disavow any of those comments or analogies that he’s made, at least I’m going to say that, disavow the analogy between Hitler and the president.”

That is hilarious! It also reminds me of the first event in which Obama really looked bad to the rest of the world. It was the “line crossing” event for me. The whole fiasco was, on several levels.

Interestingly enough, Hank did not state Obozo is like Hitler. He, instead, used an analogy. One that is apropoe.
But he DID make the trains run on time!!

Saw the interview this am. Hank seemed out of it. The Fox Friends were uncomfortable. Gretchen made note that his opinion were not hers. Poor Hank doesn’t realize that it is not ok to call Obama a Hitler like it was to constantly call Bush Hitler. One would think that Hank singing for MNF days are over.
They would think Bennie the Musso was Hitler’s “assistant dictator” or something.
That's bombastic but he's not really comparing 0bama to Hitler. The comparison is about the meeting of two people who have diametrically opposed views. Is that too subtle a distinction for 21st century cave dwellers?
Is it song-specific so I can just get back the stuff I want? ;^)

Sometimes, yet. It is the prudent man that knows when to fight and when to run. The smart Jews left Germany in the early 1930’s. The dumb ones tried to change it from within. Sorry to violate Godwin’s law, but it is such an easy example and proof that the high path is not always to attempt change.

He looked like he was nervous and awkward... but I watched it
He was commenting on the stupidity of Boehner going Golfing with Obama. He said it was stupid and likened it to two opposing teams meeting - and gave a dumb camparison to hitler meeting with churchill
Stupid- but he never said “Obama is hitler” just like he never said “Boehner is Churchill”
