Perry better grow up and stop lamenting about Herman Cain's answer to a question he thought was factual.

Maybe Herman was tired. He has been on the move constantly since his Florida straw poll victory.

And, I did find it offensive the way Rush went on to mimic Cain's statement.

And as one poster pointed out - they will be calling Rush a Perrybot. Well, here it comes................Rush did introduce everyone to Perry and kept on for weeks saying how he wished Perry would get into the race. Rush got what he wished for and the next week Perry comes out stating he is for allowing illegals to attend Texas state colleges.

Just the facts.

Perry can't reverse course because the State Senate and House voted for the bill in such numbers a veto wouldn't have mattered anyway.

I actually think Perry doesn't think he knows it all and I like that. too many think such and such candidate is so infallible that we need them to lead us out of this mess when we really need someone to get the Federal government out of the way.

I’m a very noble person.:) I don’t mind doing it in person, I’m not afraid of scags, at least I don’t think I am. I don’t really know any so maybe I should be.

Herman Cain is 65 years old. I am about that same age and grew up in a generation where black Ameicans were called the N word. It was meant to be cruel, demeaning and degrading.

I am adult and have matured to know that this kind of behavior is not just insensitive it's unconscionable!

So, unless we have walked in Herman Cain's shoes, are black and have been called the N word - rethink your critisms.

BTW, this is the least of my problems with any of the candidates. The only ones piling on are those that are trying to figure out how to keep Mr. Cain down.

AND?

I assume you are a Perry supporter or at least from the threads you are posting - Anti-Cain?

Perry was a democrat and worked to get Al Gore elected!

Everyone has the right to change their ideology, but it seems like we like to bring out the garbage on the candidate we don’t want others to support.

Can someone tell me

1. What is considered race baiting
2. How long does it become to be a race baiter?

A 10 second answer to what Mr. Cain thought was a legitimate question qualifies him as a race baiter?

I thought Perry and Romney throwing garbage at each other through 2 debates was pretty unPresidential....can they be said to be debasing each other?

This is much to do about nothing - other than Perry being upset that he lost the Florida straw poll.

He wasn’t too done talking about it, he was on Hannity (radio) digging his heels in.

Herman Cain makes a mistake and gets blasted? If we are looking for a perfect candidate, we’ll have to wait for Jesus to return. Even then, many would find fault with him. I’m with Cain until he self destructs, which I doubt he will do. Sometimes Rush is just a old windbag who loves to hear himself blabber.

This is what primaries are for.

It is much easier for a candidate with minimal political experience to get played by the media because they haven’t gone down that road before. The question is, do they learn from it and what do they do about it, as in man up to their mistake.

Well “targeting criminals” would include illegals by definition.

No, he wasn’t tired. he was race baiting and it’s wrong. that you seek to excuse or defend it is also equally unjust. The only people that need to grow up are those that think there is such a thing as a “true conservative” serving in office outside of maybe a very safe house district. Such a creature doesn’t exist and Cain stepped in it big time here.

But hey...if he shocked the world and won the nomination I’d probably still vote for him. I’d probably vote for anyone not named Romney. It so happens I’m supporting Perry but I’m not blindly making excuses when he is wrong on a position. It would probably be better if more Perry supporters were willing to do that. As it is when he does screw up on orthodoxy some of us keep our mouth shut and let him take the abuse even if it hurts polling. Not all, but some do let him take the pile on. I don’t aid in the beating since I’m supporting him...but I stand by and let him take it.

it just so happens this time he did and said nothing wrong and I won’t stand by as people without a conscience knee deep in politics allow a man to be tarnished as a racist to help their favored candidates polling.

Funny, I haven’t heard Perry lamenting about Mr. Cain’s obviously, misinformed statement. He has every right to correct the misinformation.

Looks like Cain has lost some respect with this "dogpile" comment.

Seems no one in this race can get any momentum.

That actually is not Perry's style...he stands heads above the others because of that trait in him. He'll go after Mittens on the issues which is right but some ridiculous accusation, he would always step back from. I've watched those in the media trying to egg him on, he will not bite, he'll look at them and move on to whatever.

Mr. Cain is still being called the n word and it’s not by Mr. Perry or other Republicans. I suggest he concentrate his venom of them rather than on stupid bogus story.
