This is soooo disappointing.
Right when I was starting to like Rick Perry, he calls me "heartless" because I don't want to pay for educating the children of ILLEGAL ALIENS in our country. I was all for giving Rick Perry a fair hearing and ignoring his critics here on FR, but that comment was just too much for me.
So I dump Rick Perry. There's just no recovering from that one IMO.
I liked Herman Cain at the beginning, but he was lacking depth. As the debates went on, I started liking Herman Cain more and more.
Now he starts chastising the base over "Don't Ask Don't Tell" and plays and the race card! You know it's one thing for a candidate to defend their values, it's quite another to throw a sop to the black and gay communities as he's doing and frankly that disgusts me.
Ok, so the two candidates I *wanted to like* are done for IMO. I just can't vote for either now. I'm still all about "Anyone But Obama" at this point, but geez, I really don't want to hold my nose during an election again, so it better not be Romney or Paul. I don't think I could bear holding my nose again (ala McCain) because I'm really sick and damn' tired of choosing between the lesser of two evils every damn' election!
Where's a good Fiscally and Socially Conservative supposed to go?
For me, it's Sarah. I'm praying every day that she will run.
It feels like we are riding on one junker to another junker while the Rolls Royce is on the sidelines, locked away. (for now!)
If you want the perfect candidate then it’s up to you to be that perfect candidate instead of placing your hopes and dreams with someone else.
“Where’s a good Fiscally and Socially Conservative supposed to go?”
Bachmann and Santorum (Palin if she decides to run) are social and fiscal conservatives.
None of them are perfect, but NO candidate is.
