Why did obamma authorize these schemes? What is the advantage he was trying to accomplish? Does not make sense to me. Was it under the table money he was looking for?

Occam's Razor broadly states that the simplest explanation is the most likely. Obama, et al, had been claiming that 90% of guns in Mexico came from the US. They put guns into Mexico, which would be found at violent crime scenes, to prove their assertion.
The side benefit was that it could be used to clamp down on 2nd A rights. When his time finally comes, I hope it is from an acute case of the screamin' bleedin' sh!ts.
For months,before Fast and Furious was reported, Obama was complaining about American guns being used by the Mexican drug cartels. He said that we had to stop the flow of guns into Mexico. While all the time, it was him and his cronies, that were supplying the cartels with the guns. This was a scheme to implement gun control in the United States.
