"The thing I am waiting for is for the administration to go back and correct something they said two years ago, when they criticized us for quote overreacting to the events of 9/11," Dick Cheney said. "They in effect said we had walked away from our ideals, taking policy contrary to our ideals when we had enhanced interrogation techniques. They have clearly moved in the direction of taking robust action when they feel it is justified. In this case, it was. They need to go back and reconsider what the president said in Cairo."

"He said in his Cairo speech (in 2009) for example that he banned torture," Dick Cheney said. "We were never torturing anyone in the first place. He said We walked away from our basic fundamental ideals. That simply wasn't the case. What he said then was inaccurate especially now in light of what they are doing with policy."

Liz Cheney added: "He slandered the nation, and I think he owes an apology to the American people. those are teh policies that kept us safe"

Love them both. Hope he stays in good health for many more years to come. I’ve been a fan of his for well over 20 years. First became a fan back when he was Secretary of Defense.

Dick Cheney tells it as it is.

I expect the MSM to bury this story.

He brings up great points. Obama and Democrats have repeatedly criticized the Bush administration for allegedly torturing and not living up our highest ideals and all that.

Yet what about Obama getting Bin Laden, and actions such as these drone attacks which killed the “American born” terrorist the other day? The Obama administration has continued some good policies from the Bush days.

Yes Obama and his people should apologize for their gross politicization of our actions in the war on terror.

God’s speed Dick Cheney.

This event has shown an unbelievable amout of hypocrisy from the Left.

Obama has changed his views on (remember when):
- Reading field combatants their Miranda rights.
- Closing of Gitmo.
- Military trials (Gitmo) vs. Civil trials (New York). - Indefinite Detention.
- Enhanced Interrogation techniques.
- The Patriot Act. Wire tapping is just wrong.
- The Iraqi surge. - Attacking sovereign countries. Iraq was wrong. But bombing Libya, Yemen and Pakistan is OK.
- Killing American citizens and denying them their 5th and 14th Amendment rights.

Obama when he first came into office wanted to call the War on Terrorism a “Manned Made Disaster”

He changes the rules on this daily just like he does on almost everything. And that is what is wrong with his leadership skills.

The only thing they haven’t changed their view on is water boarding. Big deal! Compared to getting hit by multiple warheads.
