Are we going to kick these children over to the curb and say you cannot have access to college?

Hell yeah, that's exactly what needs to be done. In fact, when you find the little bastards trying to steal money from the American people, you arrest and deport them and their parents back to where they came from.

States can’t deport anyone. The Feds won’t.
The feds even perverted the Section 287 (g) regulations that allow local Law enforcement to be “deputized” to identify and detain illegals for deportation. The new, Obama regulations require the locals to prosecute illegals on all charges before verification for deportation and only allow this for “major crimes.”
The Governor noted this in his book, “Fed Up!,” and used this source:

silly response DCBurgess58. Put this another way. If the illegal alien cannot afford full tuition, then the illegal alien will not be going to school, and the school will not be earning the revenue either. So lose-lose.

BTW, less than 1000 students this year attended Texas A&M and University of Texas on this program. The other 15,000 attended junior colleges and community colleges. See this.

Question: “Are we going to kick these children over to the curb and say you cannot have access to college?”

Your answer: “Hell yeah, that’s exactly what needs to be done. In fact, when you find the little bastards trying to steal money from the American people, you arrest and deport them and their parents back to where they came from.”

Good night! This cannot go on in the United States of America! How dare these odious Mexican kids who think they can get away with murder! Any act as offensive, outrageous and terrible by sneaking into the United States is worse than murder! They all have to be juvenile delinquents. They are nothing but reprobate scum who sneak out of their homes in Mexico while their parents are sleeping and illegally cross our border to party in the United States. It is these kids who are drunk in our streets and committing all kinds of crimes. Their Mexican ooze stinks to high heaven and their spawn spells the end of the Human Race.

For this reason, I have a modest proposal:

The ultimate answer to these illegal juvenile delinquents is that any dark skinned Mexican looking kid will have to prove they are a legal U.S. citizen to receive a government issue food purchasing card. Only kids who qualify for the card will be able to purchase food. Those without the card, will not be able to buy food. Any store selling food to these illegal kids will be committing a felony and subject to fines and imprisonment.

Any Mexican kid who sneaks into the United States should not have the ability to get an education or eat.

I am thinking of a way to restrict their ability to breath and after more time for study, I will give my recommendation. Any Mexican kid who sneaks into the United States should not have the ability to get an education, eat or breathe.

I say that when these illegal Mexican kids cannot buy food without a food purchasing card, there will be kids dying from starvation. Too bad, too sad for them. Their starvation would be the consequence for not going back home where they belong with their parents. And because Mexicans should be worth more dead than alive, this is more of my Modest Proposal:

I have been assured by a very knowing American of my acquaintance in London, a young child is a most delicious nourishing and wholesome food, whether stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled; and I make no doubt that it will equally serve in a fricasie, or a ragoust.

I do therefore humbly offer it to publick consideration, that of the hundred and twenty thousand children, already computed, twenty thousand may be reserved for breed, whereof only one fourth part to be males; which is more than we allow to sheep, black cattle, or swine, and my reason is, that these children are seldom the fruits of marriage, a circumstance not much regarded by our savages, therefore, one male will be sufficient to serve four females. That the remaining hundred thousand may, at 14 years old, be offered in sale to the persons of quality and fortune, through the kingdom. A child will make two dishes at an entertainment for friends, and when the family dines alone, the fore or hind quarter will make a reasonable dish, and seasoned with a little pepper or salt, will be very good boiled on the fourth day, especially in winter.

Yep, that’s the ticket!

It's the fed's job to arrest them and deport them. The feds are not and have not. They become a chronic state problem.

For me it's a dumb policy which I opposed in CA. That said, I don't see a governor opposing a policy that enjoys such overwhelming support of the legislature.

I actually like that he's not running away from it for political expediency. Even this piece is suggesting Perry should lie about his views to save his candidacy. How is that even a thought?

On balance with his total record, this isn't a deal killer. His debate performances and difficulty selling his message, however, seriously question his commitment or ability to win.

I see Romney out there using this as an issue when he proposed something worse: tuition waivers for the top 25% of high school grads. The legislature countered with in-state tuition, because they said top 25% would've benefitted the wealthy most.

The way he's attacking Perry on this, like he attacked others in 2007, could hurt Romney in the general.

Some candidates don't even have immigration records to defend. That's ok, they're saying the right things. *wink, wink*
