"I started slapping his face and saying, 'You've got to talk to me,' but he couldn't," she said. She called 911. At the hospital, she said, he was diagnosed with the strain of Listeria blamed for a 19-state outbreak that has killed at least 15 and sickened at least 84.

But in general you are quite correct that human feces are much more dangerous to humans than those of any other animal.
BTW, cantaloupe, due to the rough nature of their skin, are probably impossible to thoroughly wash or disinfect. Most disinfectants are rated as such based on their effectiveness on clean, non-porous surfaces. A cantaloupe surface is about as porous as you can get.

Modern science done by responsible scientists that are not in the business that is subsidized by pork lobbying groups already proved to us many decades ago that there is absolutely no process, heat or otherwise, to remove the diseases from any part of a pig that is used for meat or additives such as gelatin that the pig carries. And pigs do not contain naturally the ability to remove it themselves. And what is the leading cause of death in the US? Cancer What is the leading meat or meat by product consumed by the US? Pig meat & pig meat by-products. They are even used in processed breads, candy, chips, you name it, it is used, every last bit of the pig has been processed in order to be able to use it & the public is none the wiser at why an infant who has never even sucked at their mother's breast, let alone taken a bite of solid food is diagnosed with cancer. It is a proven fact that the lowest cancer rates of any group of people are found in those who follow the dietary laws given to us by our Creator.

Food grade H2O2 is fine for use with organic farmers and does the job.
I am not a liberal but I believe that conservative principles in farming are important. GMOs fly in the face of nature and the God of nature. For those who think all the food we get in this Country is fine why are so many diseases on the increase in such a big way.
I think we need to go back to doing things the way God intended. The LORD gave commandment for the land to completely rest every seven years. It got the Israelites into huge trouble when they disobeyed that one.
Americans could spend more money and thought on eating more healthy and less on so much entertainment, really expensive cars and great big houses, that is if we did what was best for us (and there is no law against actually doing what is best for ourselves and our families). It doesn't mean that we should be forced to do so but rather that we should be intelligent enough to do so.
Agriculture should be one of our top priorities like it was before the industrial revolution. Modern conveniences are nice but what good do they do you if you are sick? Our economy would do better if we once again were an agriculture based economy rather than being based on how fast and furiously we can build big new houses to satisfy our huge materialistic egos. I grew up with conservative grandparents. Many do not know what it really means to be conservatives.
The big government people would like to take away our rights as individuals to grow and raise our own food if we choose to do so. If they can make us dependent on huge farm factories that put out GMO products they have us where they want us. In order to control us all they need to do is control our food and make sure that we have to get it from them. Even seeds that actually reproduce cannot be obtained from GMO fruits and vegetables. You couldn't even harvest them to grow if things got tough enough so that you had to.
It has gotten so bad that in Wisconsin a judge just said it is illegal for a farmer or his family to drink milk from his own cows. Talk about taking our freedoms away, yes, it starts with food and medicine. All you people who are satisfied with mass produced food be careful because the government can control you through it. It is wise for Conservatives, as much as possible, to become independent of societal needs for food, water and heating so that society doesn't have such a strong arm control over us.
google can be your friend too. The CDC says heart disease is the number one killer with cancer as number two. Both diseases spike at old ages so most people have to live along while before the succumb to these two diseases.
Our modern era which includes our foods and farming have provided great advances in longevity. I don’t see kosher Jews and halal Muslims outliving ordinary Americans.
There are plenty of Jewish dietary and hygienic laws that are obsolete due to scientific advancements my favorite example is the treatment for leprosy.
You are wrong on the analysis of this. This will open the door to more Government intervention into all farming. You want the government involved in every aspect of your life, start with the food chain. They will have you by the stomach. Conversely, why not use better cleansing techniques when handling foods in the kitchen? Could be as simple as washing the outside of the fruit or vegetable thoroughly before cutting into it and serving, especially if serving raw.
I don't know about formula as I haven't read what is actually used in it. But caner cells, once they enter the human body change the DNA of the blood that is then passed into the child in the womb. Pretty scary isn't it? I nearly fainted when this information was revealed to me as I had a child die for absolutely no reason at age 3 mths. The medical people called it SIDS, but I now have my doubts as these scientists say that most of the cancerous cells that are passed through the womb are rarely detected until it is too late. And for the record, I was breast feeding at the time and my child had never had a drop of anything processed by a factory of any sort. But it wouldn't hurt to check and see if any pig by-product preservatives or fats are added to infant formula.
Only the ones that were put in place by legalism which is rabbinical law that was added to the scriptures.

Correction..our medical advances have provided great advances to prolong life, but the fact remains, as time goes on, the organic lifespan of man decreases even in the age of modern medical advances.
