MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (AP) Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry said Saturday that he is open to sending American troops to Mexico to help battle drug cartels.
((snip))
Mexico's government, however, has been opposed to foreign forces in its territory.

Yeah...that's just what we need -- 100+ million peasants reliant on the American taxpayer.
Read some history. Then play again.

Mexico is controlled by 15 billionaire families. If they want this to stop, they can hire their own army. They obviously are either in on the cut or have brokered a deal to exempt themselves from attack. Why then should American young men be used to deal with their problem?
Obviously the PTB in both nations do not want to stop this invasion of people and drugs. I wonder what their offshore accounts look like.
No thanks, Perry.
Perry said: “What’s a sovereign nation”
And they likely never will be. Which means Perry was either blowing smoke or he would do so w/o their approval.
THE LOONIE LEFTIES SURE THINK SO!!!
Not true. We did it before. We can do it again.
And if Mexico can't keep their house clean, and it spills into my house.... Oh, hell yes.
War isn't about who is 'right'. It's about who survives.
Lets us play again.

Okay, I’m not saying there aren’t circumstances under which it might be a really good idea to take military action against those trolls. That said, I’m amused by the idea that a fence would be an intolerable hardship on border landowners and a shooting war wouldn’t be.
Did you even read your own article? Of course he’s not going to go invade Mexico.
I'm beginning to think he's not just insane, he's dangerous.
Did Afghanistan request our "help" in addressing their little crime problem?
He did not talk about invading Mexico. He said he is open to the idea of sending troops to assist the Mexican government just like we did in Columbia. We were there at the request of Columbia.
If the Mexican Government is overthrown it’s going to get very ugly and it’s certainly possible. It seems prudent to keep all options on the table and we certainly have resources and intel capability honed in Afghanistan and Iraq that could be effective.
The ‘loony lefties’ support Perry and his loony leftist policies. So your post makes no sense.
Then kill them outright in the daylight.
And in the US, we're supposed to be the powers that be.
I'm all for bringing back the troops from the middle east and using them on the southern border.

Wonder how he is going to handle this one when they ask him aout it at the next debate?
No, it is true -- we have no right to invade Mexico. Care to cite what gives us the right, other than to repeat 'we've done it before'?
In that case, let’s invade Washington!
Do the goblins ask for our approval before invading the territory of the US?
Eff 'em.
And then, kill them until we don't have that probem any more.
How hard is that?

Dear Governor Perry: Simple solution - put armed troops shoulder to shoulder on the U.S. side of the entire border between Mexico and Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California while a ginormous solid wall is being built the entire length. Seal all the tunnels. Search everything going to and from. Refuse entry to illegals, confiscate and destroy drugs and guns coming in and guns going out. Put a few select CEO’s who hire illegals in prison as an example to all.
Good point, Rich. I don't really think Perry wants to invade. But his suggestion cannot be good for relations between the two countries or for his campaign. It makes him sound like a nut -- more so than usual.
