I see these people in Oakland (Where CMU/Pitt/Carlow/Point Park) students congregate and they are the same scruffy, unwashed, uneducated nubs studying diversity, women’s studies, Asian deisgn etc. that will never get a job, never pay off their loans and end up working at Starbucks and stocking shelves at Whole Foods.
These morons are the progeny of unimaginable wealth creating an unimaginable availability of free time and a lack of direction. Nothing more, nothing less.
All the socialists and pseudo-marxists I’ve met in my life came from affluence, and were so passionate about the plight of the working class....and this son of a steam fitter would just laugh in their faces...of course I was dismissed because no blue collar dolt could comprehend the mental prowess of these enlightened elites.
