I wish that Republicans had stolen the Jews.

Well, Maher is tipping off his concern about Jews switching party allegiances in large numbers merely by going into this diatribe on his show.

Of course, there is no basis whatsoever for your claim. ‘Social justice’, for example, is almost exclusively a Roman Catholic concept.

No, it probably comes from Karl Marx's writings, at least the way the term is used in today's political discourse.

Like so many people on both sides of the political spectrum, including FR, Maher views Jews only as a block of unthinking ferrets.

Between James Baker “F the Jews” and Hillary Clinton’s “Effing Jew Bastards” why would Jews support either party? Indeed no Jew ever voted for James Baker but many Jews voted FOR Hillary, for Senate and for President in the Dem primary. I’d say those Jews have been fooled long enough by folks like Bill Maher, pushing this line that the GOP is racist, bigoted, anti-semitic etc. Insofar as that goes, there are plenty of racists in both parties to go around. The hard core anti-Israel left has plenty of Jew haters among them, guys like Bill Maher and other talking heads conveniently forget they even exist. Jews don’t.

Some of the Jewish vote is susceptible to the same issues that all votes are susceptible too. Economics, Jobs, Health Care, etc. Sure, historically the Jewish vote has broken 75% or so to the Democrats, but Maher is arrogant (and worse) to assume that Jewish vote swinging to the GOP has to do with Israel. Isn’t that a bit close to saying “the Jews are not loyal Americans because they will vote Israel’s interests before America’s interests?” You don’t think Jews as well as others voting GOP in that district were voting No Confidence in Obama’s policies for Jobs, for Economics, for Health Care?

Sorry Bill, you lose. The Jewish vote is American vote. 15% of Jewish Americans live below the poverty line. Most are middle class like everyone else. Those Jews who have done well in America do tend towards this ideal of “social justice” but they could be convinced that Government’s role in ‘social justice’ is minimal at best and not the most efficient way to help your fellow man.

But most Jews can see, like most Americans, that SS is unsustainable, that Health Care is going to end up rationed, that our budget crisis needs resolution and so on. Jewish people are fearful for their jobs and their children’s education like everyone else.

considers anybody its party, they were the slave party after all.

The still are the slave party. They love keeping the black race and other minorities on their plantation feeding them on rage and feelings of inferiority. They throw them peanuts and try to make them believe that they are totally dependent on them to survive and get along all in turn for their votes.

They devalue them, make them into victims and for the most part the blacks believe them. Oh for the day to come when their slavish ties are broken and they stand up, shake off victim hood and realize that nothing for them is impossible with God. That they realize that they are, as all humans, made in God's wonderful image and they should not let anyone or anything deprive them of this knowledge. In faith they must stand up and be fully counted and get themselves off the democrat plantation.

Thanks to the Talmud, Jews are indoctrinated from birth to be altruists and collectivists. Some are able to resist, but most won’t be able to stay away from the social justice rat party for long.

Christianity is far more socialist than anything you will find in the Talmud. Generally speaking the more liberal a Jew, the less likely he has any concept of what is in the Talmud. Although they are technically Rabbinate Jews, Reform and Reconstructionist Jews do not consider the Talmud authoritative, if they consider it at all. Conservative Jews consider the Talmud a historic text.

Before Bill Maher made it big in TV, he was regularly booed off stages by comedy club audiences. I saw it happen plenty of times in NYC.

That he is successful at all is a testament to the fetid tastes and political leanings of television executives.

Insofar as that goes, there are are plenty of racists in both parties to go around.

In today's political world, it's apparent that racism and antisemitism isn't an even-handed phenomenon between the two major parties. Clearly, prominent Democrats are much more likely to overtly express such views and advocate policies consistent with them than are prominent Republicans. Furthermore, the Democrats are much more accommodating to such individuals in their midst.

Dual Israeli-Americans vote Democrat?

Wow, news to the 82% of ex-pats who voted for McCain/Palin.

Not disputing that figure, but what's your source for it? Just curious.

There was a survey dual citizens right around the time of the election.

And given Obama’s 8% approval in Israel, I’m suprised it is that high.
