That’s what I was thinking. It was the prinicipal, not the teacher, who doled out the punishment. The principal need to be disciplined as well. Why single out the idiot teacher?

Exactly. The principal had the opportunity to correct the teacher’s mistake, and instead compounded the issue.

I rather wonder if there wasn’t pressure put on the principal from the superintendent of schools or the school board.
