And keep in mind that we’re talking something like $10,000 of government money getting freed up each time a kid splits from school. Ideally, a lot other states will do the same, and the illegals will be driven to places like California and the Northeast...except that the Northeast will get sick of it, so they’ll have to take California - and then it will get interesting.
The same thing happened here in Arizona. They just started leaving on their own. The lib newspaper here was doing all these sob stories about the illegals fleeing the state, but they weren’t going back to Mexico. I remember reading several interviews where they said they were going to Pennsylvania, Colorado and California. I live in the city and For Rent/Se Renta signs went up all around my neighborhood during that time. I also started noticing that I could have a conversation with the person at a drive-thru, even if they were Hispanic. They actually spoke English. That happened after Sheriff Joe started busting restaurants all over town for illegal hiring.
