Dude.
Mike Huckabee has been approached by Republican and conservative activists unhappy with the current crop of presidential hopefuls and he is considering entering the fray, two sources who have spoken with Huckabee told Reuters
He is entertaining the request for conversations about it, one of the sources said. I do not think it is a complete 100 percent Im reconsidering but he hasnt shut the door on it.
One of the sources said Huckabee was urged to enter after the recent stumbles of Texas Governor Rick Perry, who appeals to a similar right wing of the Republican party.
I wont belabor his history with Perry yet again, but suffice it to say that hes not a fan of either of the two frontrunners so hed naturally relish the chance to be the white knight that vanquishes both. Just one teensy question: Er, hows he going to do that? Weve spent the past week reading stories about how close Christie and Palin are cutting it by waiting so long to jump in. Huckabee would face the same organizational problems plus a distinct disadvantage vis-a-vis Romney, Perry, and Christie in terms of fundraising, with those three able to draw on big donors in a way that Huck wouldnt. (That disadvantage could be lethal if we end up with a long primary season.) And of course Perry will take a chunk out of Huckabees base among southerners and evangelicals, so hell have a harder time running now than he would have had by jumping in early, which might have scared Perry off.

Huckabee is why we ended up with McCain.
“Mike Huckabee has been approached by Republican and conservative activists ... “
Would that be the brain damaged conservative caucus?
“Hey, we have a whole herd of flawed candidates, let’s get Huckabee... he’s been on tv!”
Exactly! No thanks, Mr. Huckabee.
Dear Mr. Huckabee: Go away.
and McCain is why we ended up with Obama
Fuhgetit, Hucksta!
Oh, good gad.
So true. And I can't express how much I want to avoid a repeat of the 2008 GOP primary.
On the bright side, Fox will put someone else in his timeslot.
Mike Huckabee is far from perfect, but he isn’t the bogeyman presented on FR.
Unless Sarah Palin gets in soon. I would welcome Mike Huckabee getting in the race. Except for Bachmann & Santorum...and to some extent Cain. I don’t have much use for the current field. I think Cain will soon fizzel...and Bachmann and Santorum keep losing ground.
I supported Huckabee in 2008 and would support him again. I think Palin would be the better candidate....but she isn’t running. So, I see him as the next best thing.
Frankly...I don’t think Mike will run. He already opted out very early on....which I thought was wise and the honorable thing to do.

Yeah, we really need Huckaphony to get into the race. We need it like a hole in the head.
C’mon, enough already. Palin, then Christie, now Huckabee? Sheesh. Why not just have 20000 people run?
These so-called “Republican and conservative activists” are approaching everybody and their dog to run...except real Conservatives.
The report is bogus. Mike Huckabee is NOT getting into the race. So, you freaks can stop bashing the man needlessly.
Mike Huckabee: The Harold Stassen of the 21st century.
Well, we have an undertaker, a JR high school principal, a
mortician, a gentleman rancher, a pizza executive, an unemployed diplomat..... why not add a used car salesman?
The establishment is terrified of Cain.
Why don’t we just nominate John frickin McCain and be done with it?
