Conservatives are supposed to have a sense of humor. They’re funny lines, period. You don’t have to like the comedian to appreciate his/her humor. Lighten up.
P.S. President Reagan used to joke about Tip O’Neil’s weight all the time and nobody complained.

The problem is that Letterman doesn’t mock democrats. It’s a strategy of his to go after Republicans that he thinks could win.
He put down Sarah Palin every night for years, and democrats thought that was funny too.
He said Sarah sports a “slutty flight attendant look.”
Letterman “joked” that Sarah Palin’s daughter was “knocked up” by A-Rod during the seventh inning stretch when they attended the Yankees game.
Letterman made a min-crusade out of mocking Palin.
