Rick Perry slips on immigration banana

The Texas governor was heckled Thursday by protestors over his stance on immigration at a campaign stop in Charlotte, North Carolina. To be fair, it wasn’t like Rick Perry encountered throngs of angry masses - it was more like a handful of white folks holding up signs saying “Rick Perry: Endorsed by Mexico.” Still, the protest wound up on the local news (watch the video here), which is not the kind of story the Perry campaign wants to see.

Ironically, the protest - which was organized by the group Americans for Legal Immigration (ALIPAC) - probably received more attention than it otherwise would have because the Perry campaign had actually tried to remove a Facebook invitation promoting it.

ALIPAC is now vowing to continue showing up at other Perry events.

He's now saying his wife pushed him into the race---that he, himself, never thought about running.

Wonder if anyone will ask him if he's submissive to his wife like Michele Bachmann was asked about her husband.

So it is fine that perry a life long democrat politician, friend and supporter of algore, voted for algore, and changed parties to improve his odds of staying in office can claim he is a republican rino, and mr green cannot change parties. Why not???

Perry Should be declared a security risk.....for sucking up to foreigners bent on killing Americans.

I shall remind you, Liz, that you have been active on here spreading outright lies about Perry. You have attributed completely made up quotes to Perry. You have accused him of having the legal power to enforce marketing laws in foreign countries. Now you are saying that Perry "sucks up" to groups that want Americans dead.

Each time I see your name pop up on here, I will remind the members of Free Republic that you are active in character assasination.

Okay, we are now racist, heartless, malcontented whiners.

Enjoy your voyage aboard the S.S. Perry. It just hit an iceberg, but it’s not sinking. heh heh heh

Stay right where you are, everything’s fine.

The phony apology over his "heartless" comment is every bit as insulting as the comment itself. He wants us to all think it was a gaffe. It WASN'T.

Watch the Perry comment again. He was PASSIONATE when he said it.

Start at the 2:40 mark.

Compare Palin’s 2008 VP nom to most of the other Presidential candidates of today, with the exception of Mr Cain who has the potential to cause a huge wave throughout the land, and there is no comparison.
Someone has to really shake things up!
Step out of the fog,and a half dozen other cliches, with a clear vision and a plan!

South, a question for you and everyone on this thread: Do you believe that it’s a state’s sovereign right to decide in-state tuition law? If you do, how can you honestly beat up a state for exercising its right? How would you feel about the Federal Government, based on this controversy, deciding to override states on in-state tuition law?

A hypocrite, act, is attacking Green, whoever he is, because he may have been a former traveler of Perrys, a life long democrat, now claiming to be a confirmed rino.

Perry's change is a non story. I will say this one more time, everybody in Texas was a dem, except my father. Perry grew up in rural Texas where everybody was surely a conservative dem. During the 80’s and 90’s Texas made a huge change to Republican. Perry is not the only one who changed, even my mother changed and voted Republican. Working for algore would be the thing to make a conservative democrat not want to be like that anymore.

My post was about the dirt post made about mr green. We here raised hell about this kind of crap used against joe the plumber. And that was what the stinking post was, a rino attack, just like the one from the liberals against joe the plumber. It was and is contemptible, but expected from the perrywinkles.

There's one thing that Perry doesn't get, in that just because the Texas Legislature was 99% behind the In-State Tuition for ILLEGALS, it is not just a Texas issue.

Here in my loverly 'Ill-ear-noise', aka: the Land of Madiganistan, we had this in-state for Illegals bullcrap shoved down our throats by the Daley-Madigan RAT cabal a few years ago. The result -- 'Hispanics' are now the #1 population in the City of Chicago. Blacks now in 2nd place and Whites are almost nonexistent: a few thousand old hardheaded European Widows and some yuppie scum Cubs fans. (Go White Sox!)

And what followed this FREEBIE IMMIGRATION MAGNET was .... tada .... CRIME. Every neighborhood on the Southwest side is now basically a Mexican Gang-Banging Barrio. And it is why I listen to the CPD Radio Calls (like now) -- to see how my old hood has went to hell, and hope the Cops cap a few bad guys in the process of expressing 'Their Love For America'.

Oh-oh ... WAIT! .... does that make me 'Heartless' or a 'Bigot'? It's rather hard keeping up with all your INSULTS!(/s)

So sorry Señor Perry but in-state tuition ISN'T just a "Texas issue". It is a National issue, ¿usted entiende eso, mi amigo?
(ps: when is your wife gonna let you have your spurs back?)

Note: The Near West Side & SW Side of Chicago was already turning into 'Chicano', but the FREEBIE Tuition accelerated it in Chicago and every urban area across the state.

Do you believe that it’s a state’s sovereign right to decide in-state tuition law?

I believe a state giving instate tuition to ILLEGAL aliens is similar to a city offering safe haven, i.e, a sanctuary city. They are here ILLEGALLY, Quick. Please tell me why someone who is in this country ILLEGALLY should receive anything that is sponsored and/or subsidized by the American taxpayer and please tell me how you can make that argument w/o sounding exactly like a liberal who makes that same argument. And please remember that states receive federal money that supports their colleges and universities. So an argument that taxpayer dollars aren't being squandered on the ILLEGAL hordes won't fly.

Do you think it’s a state’s right to decide health care, like Romney Care. If so, why is everybody beating up on Romney for it?
