I like Cain, and whether he succeeds or fails will be up to him, not Palin. Would he have done better, do you think, if he was competing with Palin last week?

My choice: Palin/Cain. Then all we need to do is take scissors to the old McCain/Palin bumper stickers. That would save a few bucks. Assuming that McCain hasn’t eaten them all by that time in his frustration.

Obviously she would have picked up some of those Florida straw poll votes. The problem is that the longer we wait for Palin, the more power Romney has over the rest. He will have access to boatloads of money (way more than Palin). Cain, on the other hand, won on merits, but the media (e.g. DC newsradio) said that it was a protest vote and Cain had no financial support so he is not viable.
