The strategy proposed here is an interesting one. With his approval ratings at an all time low, Obama is looking at a very high likelihood of a defeat in the 2012 elections and forecasters, using the examples of the 2011 special elections in New York City and Nevada, have forecast a very high probability of losses across the nation for the Democratic Party because of Obama.
Gee, even his own kind don't want him.

Every Democrat should stand down after what they’ve done to this country.

Dick Morris has these fantasies all the time. I recall when he wrote a book about how 2008 would be Hillary vs Condi.
To: ml/nj
I don’t see Obama as backing down.
What do you say ml/nj?

I believe it’s more likely that he’ll declare martial law and cancel the election by Imperial Edict than that he’d not run a second time. His ego could NEVER let him not run.

You are right. Morris’ ability to predict the future is not only zero, it is negative. Take the opposite! On the other hand, I’ve always found him reasonably astute at assessing past events and trying to make sense of them.

Brings back memories of Nixon waving his "V's" as he lifted off the WH lawn for the last time!!!
I had sort of mixed emotions that time, but won't this time!!!

with all this homo crap being talked about form the white house and appeasing them then maybe he was caught having sex with a donkey or another man.
Explains why MO is always angry anyway.

He can’t step down the investigations will destroy him forever....he needs to try and win to keep the investigations under control.
To: Rudder
Wont happen. BHO is a narcissist, with delusions of godhood. He will just become more strident and angry until he explodes. More dems will start calling for him to not run and/or step down. BHO has enough money to run even if he never had another fundraiser and 90% of the country turns against him.

There is a certain logic to this.
If Obama runs and loses, he's finished.
If Obama steps down and finishes with better popularity than now, he still is eligible for one more term. He could try another run in 8 years.
He would still be eligible even if he loses, but then he'd have the stain of being a losing president trying to run again.
