When Clinton was first elected and there was so much talk about lifting the ban on gays I got into with a younger brother of mine. He had disappeared when he turned 18 for fear of being drafted and sent to Vietnam and stayed missing until the war ended and the draft was stopped. Here he was lecturing me on how the military should be open to everyone. He is not gay but he was the typical liberal hippie who spouted the left wing garbage without one moment of thought about what it actually meant or what the effect would be. I had served on an aircraft carrier and I knew the facts, I don’t know if he has ever forgotten what I told him that day.
I don’t know if this has any meaning to you, but thanks for your service, shipmate!
(It has no meaning when people say it to me - I got too badly scarred by the lies of Fonda-Kerry . . . . .)
