The best idea would be to give it to the people. This is our land. Governments including the states and soem cities have possession of too much of our land.

Property taxes (government rent) and emanate domain have already stolen away our right to own property. They charge us every year for our right to live on it, and they can take it away from us at any time. The politicians control it ALL.
This is how far our country has fallen.

“The best idea would be to give it to the people. This is our land.”

There was an interesting and disturbing poll released just a day or two again, wherein 49% of the respondents said that the federal government posed a significant threat to the freedom of Americans. What was the percentage of Colonists who, in 1773 or so, believed Great Britain to be a threat to _their_ liberties?

This land is your land
This land is my land
From California
To the New York island
From the redwood forest
To the gulf stream waters
This land was made for you and me.

.... Not if the feds and regulators get their way!

One additional verse to Guthrie’s song most folks don’t know about:

As I was walkin’
I saw a sign there
And that sign said, “no trespassing”
But on the other side
.... it didn’t say nothin!
That side was made for you and me!

Just sayin’...
