Herman Cain: An Exceptional American of African Descent (Great Bio on Herman Cain!)
Canada Free Press ^ | John Lillpop

Posted on 09/28/2011 10:58:33 AM PDT by astuddis

He is the quintessential example of American Exceptionalism

He graduated from Morehouse College in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and received a Master of Science degree in computer science from Purdue University in 1971, while he was also working full-time in ballistics for the U.S. Department of the Navy. Cain has authored four books: Leadership is Common Sense (1997), Speak as a Leader (1999), CEO of SELF (October 2001), and They Think You’re Stupid (May 2005). He also authored an article titled “The Intangibles of Implementation” in the technical journal Interfaces (Vol. 9, No. 5, 1979, pp. 144-147), published by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences.

Have you seen pictures of Obama’s father? No way that Obama, Sr. was only 1/8th African; he had to be at least 3/4th African.

Oh, and Arabs are Caucasian. So I would guess that Obama is 62.5% Caucasian and 37.5% African.

But even if Herman Cain is 100% of African descent (which would be rare for descendants of blacks held as slaves in the South), and despite the fact that Cain was raised by black parents in a community where plenty of other blacks lived while Obama was raised first by his white mother and Indonesian stepfather in Jakarta (which was less than 1% black) and later by his white grandparents in Honolulu (which was around 1% black), the liberal media will still call Obama the “true black man” and Cain the “Oreo.”

I don’t know, 0bama has so screwed up, maybe enough blacks will give Cain a shot. Cain is the type who could lead thinking blacks to conservatism. Psychologically it would be easier to vote for someone like Cain than a white conservative. All that needs to happen is for 10% of the black vote to go GOP and not only is Hussein done, but the Democratic /Socialist party is crippled for a generation.

A friend of mine was on the (R) national committee and she saw the light when they put Bob Dull up for election and quit soon after that.

The establishment wants who they want and be damned the people......

She and I both like Herman Cain....

I suspect there is a strong spiritual component to this man, also. I’d like to know more about this aspect of him.

I believe he's an evangelical Christian who used to do his own radio show. Everything I've read about him says he's the real deal.

Keep in mind, no matter who gets the GOP nomination, they're miles above the Marxist nominee they'll be running against.

Why?

Is anyone (including “African-Americans”) supposed to think Herman Cain is a better candidate because he is more “African” than Mr. Obama?

What would be more important, and what I think Mr. Cain would agree on, is that it does not matter that Mr. Cain is “African-American” and therefor there is no need for any comparison between his genealogy and Mr. Obama’s.

Mr. Cain wants to be judged as Martin Luther King dreamed Mr. Cain would be judged one day, and that would be NOT by the color of his skin.

He not only has “extraordinary credentials”, you can add the conservative credentials we have all been waiting for as well.

And now with his performance in Florida, they better be asking him an equal number of questions that they do with Perry or Mitt. He has earned it.

“Yeah...except Herman Cain is UNELECTABLE! Although he has good ideas and appeal I believe he will suffer from a racial backlash, thanks to Obama the Unifier. Additionally, you know that Blacks will never vote for him...because Blacks like him are perceived as “Uncle Toms” or “Oreos” in the words of a recently interviewed African-American official.
So he would be going in losing.”

A Republican is not electable because blacks, who usually only vote for democrats, might not vote for him? And blacks are going to go with what Maxine Waters says? Even Maxine Waters is ticked off by Obama. When the biggest shill in town is grumbling and complaining, there is no better opportunity.

He also doesn’t need a teleprompter.

Think of the money he’d save us on day 1...I’m sure there’s a fully funded teleprompter office, complete with a czar, in the current administration. ;-)

"Herman Cain is UNELECTABLE!...Additionally, you know that Blacks will never vote for him"

I think he is electable, especially in our current political climate. I think even though he is running on the GOP platform, he is more tea party than republican, and that is going to appeal to independents as well.

As far as the black vote, the GOP will never get the black vote, so we're no worse right? Besides, most blacks are socially conservative and Herman is much more in line I believe with black idea's than Obama.

Rather than a headline that reads, “Herman Cain: An Exceptional American of African Descent,” how about one that simply and emphatically states, “Herman Cain: An Exceptional American!”

Noted, but what about what's in the article itself?

Where there's a shell, there's a way.

If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.

Or you can get raw with these strings. Either way, the violin is sweet yet lethal.

Do it!

Instead of saying he is unelectable, why don’t we ask what do we need to do to get him elected.

I’ve been posting on my facebook about him. I need to donate to his campaign and get yard signs.

“Mathematician for the Navy, where he worked on missile ballistics (making him a rocket scientist).”

My idea for a bumper sticker:

“Herman Cain for president. Because sometimes it does take a rocket scientist.”

Nice resume...but resumes alone don’t win elections. How can Obama possibly win?...put up a weak opponent with a weak base. Put up a man of erudition against a firebrand populist and the erudite man loses. You ask for wisdom from the elctorate that does not exist.
Don’t look for PERFECTION...but a candidate who can WIN! The man who can win will not be perfect by definition but he will be a political warrior.
But then I’m getting vibes from this forum of that hopey-changey thing.

Nice try but you are wrong! Maybe you should actually talk to a few “blacks” yourself. Cain believes that he will be able to get at least a third of the “black vote”. There was a thread here yesterday from a teacher whose school where most of the students are black. The teacher said that half of the students supported Cain and half Obama, but the Cain supporters were very enthusiastic and the Obama supporters were lukewarm in their support. The teacher thought that this probably was a good reflection of their parents attitudes.

Blacks in this country have twice the unemployment rate of whites. Obama has managed to hurt them more than any other group and more than a few are beginning to notice. They still support him in most cases, but if you give them an alternative there is a good chance they will take it.
