(snip)

Back in 1962, Wright and three others were involved in a string of armed robberies that lead to the shooting death of a gas station owner in Wall, N.J., an FBI statement read.

Wright and three others were involved in a string of armed robberies that lead to the shooting death of a gas station owner

I hate how this is worded. Wright and his accomplices robbed several businesses at gunpoint and murdered a gas station owner. They were not "involved in" things that "lead to" other things.

I guess he’ll be back in New Jersey soon enough to cast a straight democratic ballot in both New Jersey and Philadelphia?

The article said his sentence was 15-30. I doubt Jersey had a death penalty in the 1970's.

But he does need to pay his dues.

You are correct. Here are a couple of correct alternatives:

“Wright and three others committed a string of armed robberies which culminated in the murder of a gas station owner” (provided there were no additonal robberies)

or

“Wright and three others committed a string of armed robberies, one of which ended in the murder of a gas station owner”

He hijacked an aircraft after he escaped.
Send him to Gitmo for terrorism.
New Jersey has always been a messed up place.
Lived there in the 80’s.
UGH.
