Federal Law Title 8, Chapter 14, Sec. 1623 states:“an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State... for any postsecondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligible for such a benefit.”

the Texas Dream act says if you lived in Texas and attended school in Texas for the 3 years prior to graduation you are considered a resident for post secondary tuition purposes.
This actually applies to anyone including LEGALS .
so someone born in new York but who lived here and attended school here for 3 years can attend a college here as a resident.
I hate that this DREAM act here takes us one step closer to amnesty.
Enforce our current laws and illegals will go back. It is that simple and I think if we the people keep pressure on the electeds we can get to a point our country actually enforces its laws.
