If Perry weathers this storm it will become clear that every candidate that is serious has the same positions he does. Then it will come down to the real record and that is where Perry will make his move.

It's funny that those pushing Palin say she doesn't have to enter the race until Nov. if she doesn't want yet Perry is toast.

I have seen this same situation play out in Perry's other elections.

Now they want Chris Christie — who holds many nonconservative positions. If you matched him up to Rick Perry, Christie comes up short. He’s more a Romney candidate. Maybe that’s who’s calling for him to enter — establishment GOP who see Perry beating out Romney.
