As Ambrose Evans-Pritchard reported, Germanys finance minister Wolfang Schauble has launched a stinging rebuke to the Obama administration after Washington pushed for the European Union to boost its EFSF bail out fund. After Obama declared that the European financial crisis is scaring the world, Schauble shot back at the US president by warning: "It's always much easier to give advice to others than to decide for yourself. I am well prepared to give advice to the US government." He also made it clear what he thought of the idea of increasing the 440 billion euro lending limit, a position supported by US Treasury Chief Tim Geithner:
I don't understand how anyone in the European Commission can have such a stupid idea. The result would be to endanger the AAA sovereign debt ratings of other member states. It makes no sense.
It is rather ironic that Barack Obama, who has probably done more damage to the American economy that any president in modern US history, is now lecturing European leaders on their financial problems as well. The Obama administrations track record of out-of-control government spending and borrowing, a $1.3 trillion budget deficit (the largest since World War Two), combined with mammoth bailouts, has been nothing short of disastrous. 14 million Americans are out of work, the housing market is in a state of collapse, and job growth is practically non-existent outside of the Washington Beltway. And the advice his flailing government is now giving across the Atlantic will inevitably prolong the huge economic turmoil in Europe, rather than help bring it to an end.

So tell me when does he NOT look ridiculous. People who are in WAY over their heads usually do.
Always nice to read an article from the Telegraph to start the day,,,,,keeps me in touch with reality as opposed to the ABCBSNBCNN readers of Democrat Talking Points and horrible sound bites bleatin’ (insert racist comment, drop the ‘g’)of Obama.
Bleating (present participle of bleat) (Verb)
Speak or complain in a weak, querulous, or foolish way: “he bleated incoherently about the .....”.
Agreed. With his last couple of entries, I'm actually starting to become a bit of a Nile Gardiner fan...
I am beginning to think we are witnessing the fall of civilization.
For anyone who questions whether Obama is a full-on Marxist Communism, much less a “mere” ideologue, Gardiner hits the nail on the head.
In every situation, in every country, in response to every problem, Obama goes for the “deadening hand of state intervention.” (GREAT turn of the phrase, Niles!) What is that, but a Marxist Communist ideologue?
Niles says had Obama been born in Brussels instead of Hawaii, he’s be the quintessential Eureoweenie official right now. Well, had Obama been born in the former Soviet Union, the former Yugoslavian Republic or Red China, he’d be committed to advancing up those ranks as well.
The only thing is that Obama’s race was (as he correctly surmised sometime during his college years) a political asset only in the U.S. and Western Europe. So he might not have gotten as much attention/adulation from the get-go as he, The Exotic One, did here.
