She’s an Ithacite. Dunno about him. Why would the city of Dryden Court get involved in a crime that was alleged to have happened in Ithaca, where she lives?

The town justice courts are typically open limited hours. As a result, and in accordance with state enabling laws, police will often take an arrested defendant to whichever court in the county happens to be available for arraignment. At arraignment bail is set and little else. Thereafter the case is transferred to the “regular” court.
