The basic issue is tolerance and acceptance. Most people have no trouble tolerating homosexuals, however, now we have the government forcing acceptance down our throat whether we like it or not. This is a big problem that will fester like abortion has for decades.
The basic issue is tolerance and acceptance. I think it's more basic than that. I think the issue is right and wrong, and the individual's right to choose for himself what behavior he will accept and what he won't, for reasons entirely his own.
In one sense, it's about liberty; in another, it's about morality. Where one is threatened, so is the other.
