I’d pull it too. Then run it during the Superbowl.

Too good to leave it on the shelf.

Ford still has union thugs working for them, and union thugs who aren’t working form them, still receiving paychecks, do they no? If so, the time will come when they need a bailout, so they better be nice.

And Ford is the next target in the UAW's contract negotiations. No doubt the union wants the same deal as Government Motors gave them when they settled a few weeks ago. After all, GM is nothing more than a government employer not unlike schools, cities and states that have employee unions.

Note that those are DOE/ADV Tech loans (at 2% higher than Solyndra got). Ford is in a tough spot. In order to sell trucks (which they are very good at), in order to comply with Federal CAFE (fleet average mileage) standards, they have to sell a bunch of small/fuel efficient cars (which they’re not very good at.

Get rid of CAFE altogether and set mileage standards based on gross vehicle weight. That would allow Ford and GM to sell trucks (which they are good at) and let Honda and Toyota sell small cars (why THEY’RE good at). The whole industry would be better off.

I seem to recall ads from GM stating that they had paid back all the government loans only to learn that, oops, they lied. They still owe.

Well, so much for our first Amendment rights.

How much more of this before we start to take our country back?

When are people going to wake up? Why is the left ok with this behavior? Their boy is setting all sorts of precedents.

My ‘01 GMC Sierra was due for replacement but in a trade, it was worth $3,000 less to the Ford guy than the GMC dealer. I had planned to buy a Ford, having purchased four Explorers and a couple of Tauruses. The 3 thou and the 100,000 mile warranty put an ‘11 GMC Sierra in my garage.

But this is beautiful.

More reporting of this kind of threads, please! - “criticism from the media and questions from WH”

WHY on earth is the media critizing Ford’s ad?

"Chris" was interviewed on Frank Beckmann's show this morning (WJR - Detroit 760). His story is powerful. He also drives a Ford truck, is a Christian and teaches a US Constitution class at his church.

Which makes the poor guy and his family an Obama target.

You can hear the interview here:

Ford and GM have the best small cars out there now. The Chevy Cruze and the Ford Fiesta and the Ford Focus.

Ford will soon have the best all electric car out there too.

The Electric Focus.

It no longer makes economic sense for companies to try to manufacture anything in the U.S. due to the Marxist anti-business regime in Washington. The next election holds the key. But if I was on the board of Ford or Boeing I’d be actively exploring manufacturing options in Canada and other receptive countries.

I’ll take your word for that, but my friend who is chief mechanic for the largest Ford dealership in Arizona always refers to the Ford Focus as the Ford F**kus (for what that’s worth). Maybe things have gotten better in the last couple of years.
