Deploy nuclear mines? Wait until there is minimum coverage and then race into a port and detonate a nuclear bomb?

There are rumors that Iran has modified their Shahab-3 mobile IRBMs to launch from a freighter deck. If true, they won't have to race into port.

“There are rumors that Iran has modified their Shahab-3 mobile IRBMs to launch from a freighter deck.”

Due to advances in technology the world won’t be safe as long as blood still pumps through the last remaining jihadist’s veins. Unfortunately, it will take 9/11 x 10,000 to make that point plain. By that time we need to have our own oil and gas supplies as the only option left might be the glass parking lot approach. (Not that I’m advocating violence, or, Heaven forbid, saying something against diversity.)

Besides, a freighter is allowed to approach the port anyway. No racing required. No meaningful inspection of a fully loaded container ship is possible away from the port1, besides checking papers. But the papers would be either genuine or a first class forgery.

[1] Unless the leutenant who commands the inspection team is a licensed levitator and has no problem holding tens of thousands of tons of cargo in the air while they are getting to the bottom layer of containers.
