Perry’s Dream Act is like Romney’s Romney-care. It is impossible (difficult) for him to repudiate it especially since he is still governor unlike Romney.

The truth is the exact opposite.

Because the TX DREAM act bill was passed with a veto proof majority it would be easy for bush2 to condemn it even now.

He won’t though because he is a “compassionate conservative” who believes in destroying America in the hope of getting some Hispanics to vote for him.

The second part I cant argue with given his “have a heart’ response but as to him being able to reputiate it: he couldn't repudiate it after strongly supporting it without looking like a liar and still getting nuked for being a phony, Plus it passed with that TX Senate majority because it was so popular in Texas meaning he is pandering to Texas voters for sure. Sucking up to Hispanics to win the R primary defending the Dream Act would not be strategic(smart) thing to do unless he thought it was in the bag. He is still governor there unlike Romney.

Incidently, Romney fully supported Bush/Mccain/Pelosi amnesty so he gets no points from me.

I think that's why he's never apologized for his calls for a guest worker program and he's never criticized his donors for working against Texans by killing off legislation that would aid us in fighting the illegals.

I think somewhere in his mind, he thinks that because Texas has been a minority-majority for a while now and that because the Hispanic population is growing, that he has to engage in this kind of behavior to win them over. He'll be surprised when he finds out that many Hispanics don't want illegal immigrants crossing our borders either.
