This morning I came across this video from SeekAndFind on another thread. After watching it with my daughter, this thought occurred to me:
For many years, the establishment Republicans and the MSM have convinced us that the only way we can win elections is to choose a moderate in the primaries. They tell us that we have to choose a candidate that can appeal to the Independents who are soft on the Constitution and social issues. They tell us that our candidate can't win if he's too polarizing. He has to be soft on abortion ('I'm pro-life, but I'm not going to do anything about it') or he'll loose women, soft on illegal immigration ('I'm for border security, but I'm for amnesty for people who're already here') or he'll loose the Hispanic vote, and not too radical when it comes to overhauling the tax code or he'll intimidate people who are comfortable with the status quo.
So we hold our noses and say, "We need to vote for the most conservative guy who can actually get elected." As a group, we've compromised our core values over and over again.
We need to stop this. We need to take responsibility for our candidates. This push to the Left has given us legions of RINOs and enabled the Democrats' rise to socialism. It's given us an unmanageable tax code, a broken school system, a broken economy, courts packed with liberal/moderate judges and a terrifyingly overreaching EPA that stomps the rights of property owners into the ground.
In Herman Cain, we have a rare opportunity. We can put forth a leader who has the ability to actually *change* people's minds.
He won't go into the general election and conveniently shift and soften his conservative arguments to make himself more appealing to the 'moderates'. He'll come out swinging and publicly CRUSH liberal ideals under an unapologetic, rational boot.
His campaign has the potential to do more to educate young people than Rush, Quinn, and FR combined.
To those of us who're so frightened by another 4 years of Obama that you're not willing to support a serious conservative in the fears that he can't sway the Independents and be elected, I say this:
Yes, we would have an easier time getting a moderate elected.
And all we'd have for our trouble is a slower march to the edge of the cliff. That's all RINOs do. They keep us on the same path of destruction that the Democrats do, only at a more 'moderate' pace. They don't turn us around.
Herman Cain is an educator. He can win hearts and minds for the conservative cause. He can motivate people to do their homework in a way that none of the other candidates can. He's charismatic and likeable. he's intelligent. He can articulate the conservative argument with humor and grace. He's a wonderful communicator.
He won't compromise conservative ideals. He won't falter or soften his stance in the fear of alienating moderates of leftists. He'll win hearts and minds.
It's time to bring the *real* fight to the fore, liberal vs conservative, instead of voting out of fear.
If we don't, if we offer up another wishy-washy moderate, we will win this election.
And, in the long term, our nation could be lost.
We are on the crossroads of history and we have a rare and wonderful opportunity to turn really turn the Titanic.
If we do this honestly, and hold true to what we know is true and right, we can and we *WILL* win this thing.
Thank you SeekAndFind, for posting this video.
Can you add (vanity) to the title of this?
Thank you!
Thanks for posting! I was trying to find that earlier.
I like Cain. He is the REAL thing!
More and More I like Herman Cain. I hope he gains steam and gets more Publicity. Do we just give him the nomination? No. let’s see how he does with this.
It is an inspiring speech that tells it like it is and regardless of which candidate you may support, it should remind people that there are citizen-patriots out there that still cherish the ideals this country was founded upon.
If this is the real Herman Cain, I've just switched my support.
I fyou go to YouTube and start watching his videos, you’ll find that he’s constant.
He’s the real deal.
How about posting this mysterious video here? Redundancy is how we learn.
Cain deserves WAY more attention than he is getting in the MSM...yes...the SAME MSM that calls Conservatives racist because we oppose O!!
I’ve liked Cain for a while now, but realized the media was intent on making him an “also ran.”
After winning the straw poll in FL, I’m realizing that Cain can beat the MM at their game.
Therefore, I have ordered my Cain 2012 bumper sticker this morning and plan on giving another $50 this evening.
CAIN 2012!
Cain is the *last* guy the MSM and Rat Party want to run against. Takes away the race card and will force them to focus on issues.
The more I see and hear from Herman Cain, the more I support him.
Just say no to the RINO’s.
Note well the lack of note cards or a teleprompter.
I have been in the crowd at Georgia events where Cain speaks, and he is SO refreshing and energizing to hear. He knows who he is, what he believes in, and what he stands for. He doesn’t need a puppetmaster.
I keep telling myself it’s all in God’s hands, but I’m really liking Cain and I’m hoping He gets more airtime and (If he really is conservative and is vetted enough) then I hope he wins. I will do what I can with getting information about him out there, but again. It’s really in God’s hands.

"You don't have to have foreign policy experience to know how to *listen* to your experts. When Admiral Mullen and General Petraeus question question the aggressiveness of what the president wanted to do, to me that was another indication that the President is not listening.
"Secondly, when you look at the fact that the surge has been only going on for about a year and a half, I don't believe that he's actually given it enough time to work. And then to announce to your enemy that you're going to remove almost a third of your troops over the next twelve months - I don't believe that that's a very good strategy.
"So not knowing a lot about foreign policy - I don't think that's a prerequisite for making sure that you use some common sense decision making in order to be able to address the situation."
So basically:
- He doesn't believe in getting involved with other nation's civil matters. (Libya)
- If you *do* get involved, you go in with a solid plan.
- If you do go into a conflict, you let generals, not PC trends, run the wars.

And he supports Israel. :)

It’s posted twice.
But here y’go.

Happy now? :-)
No - this one is not in God’s hands. (Well, it is, but to quote an old joke, God is saying, “I sent you two boats and a helicopter!”)
This is in our hands. We need to start unabashedly supporting a real conservative who could shake up the whole system.
I like Duncan Hunter in 2008, but wrote him off as an “also ran.” I even liked Fred Thompson, but he never garnered the support needed.
Time to get intense about Cain. I’m in. Cain is God’s helicopter, coming to rescue us from the flood.
