I think gas prices are currently edging down because opec and democrat party allies see the possiblity of a republican/tea party sweep, and they are trying to stop it.
Republicans would tap our resources and would have gas below 2 dollars within a year.
I don’t see the democrats doing anything to lower the price of oil, even on a short term basis.
