Well, the equinox was supposedly on September 23, and that's supposed to be when day and night are equal in length. But on the Weather Channel they showed that tomorrow, Sept. 26, sunset will be exactly 12 hours after sunrise.

The equinox got delayed by 3 days. It must be because of global warming.

I believe the longer apparent daytime is due to atmospheric refraction, making the sun visible before the sunrise and after the sunset that would be seen on a hypothetically airless earth.
