He's alive! (The media says this is more bad news for Perry, like Romney wasn't going to win his home state by a wide margin. Pffft!)

How many home states does Romney have?

In the straw poll, Romney won 50.1 percent of the 681 votes cast compared to 16.8 percent for Perry.

I really hope some other candidates decide to get in this - Palin, Christie, Ryan, Jindal, the more the merrier. Aside from Cain, the current collection is just depressing.

The state he grew up in and in which his daddy was a Senator and failed presidential candidate and auto CEO. Big deal.

He can win Massachusetts and New Hampshire as his home turf, too. And should do well in Utah, Idaho and Nevada due to identity politics.

That ain’t enough to win the nomination.

Romney better win in Michigan, considering his dad was once governor.

Actually, I am surprised. As McCotter pointed out, Michiganders are pretty peeved at Romney for opposing the auto bailouts. But then, this is the GOP, not the average voter.

So, so far there isn’t state where the straw poll winner also won another state? When will Utah hold theirs? It’s time for Huntsman to win, it seems. How about PA? Santorum also needs his turn.

CBS news wastes time reporting on a straw poll vote of 481 people?!?? Why didn’t they just put an intern on a street corner and ask them who they liked in the GOP race?

Obviously Romney would win in MI. He’s all for the big unions and everyone knows that probably only Santorem, Huntsman, Bachmann and Johnson are as well. (not certain about them, but no indication that they don’t support labor unions)

According to a good friend of mine (A Perry supporter FWIW) who was there, Romney was the only candidate with a campaign presence on the island outside of the speech.

The establishment is also pushing a coronation of Romney.
