You are citing HB 1403, but that bill has been amended / changed, and the section of law it amended no longer reads the way you posted.

Not that many people reading will bother to look it up, but what you are posting is dated and inaccurate information.

You are correct that "seeking citizenship" and "on the path to citizenship" are baloney.

Thanks but Rick Perry and the state of Texas cannot change the federal requirements necessary to apply for US citizenship. They can create all the state laws they want but an ILLEGAL alien cannot apply for citizenship which has to be done through the federal government.

It doesn’t matter what the bill says just like it doesn’t matter what immigration law says. What makes you believe that illegal aliens will comply with in state tuition requirements when they don’t abide by any other law?
