You can’t fence 1200 miles. Perry believes in fencing in urban areas, not rural areas. Big difference. You stated that tough immigration bills got stuck in Committee. So how is that the fault of Perry. He can’t do anything until it is actually out there to be voted on. If you are from TX as I am, then you know that it wouldn’t matter what the State did on Houston, they would simply ignore it.

I don’t know what - “He cant do anything until it is actually out there to be voted on” - means.
If Perry desires a bill have priority he can can work closely with House Speaker Joe Straus to move that bill forward to a vote. If it survives committee hearings.. the speaker can schedule it for a vote. Or he can ignore it. Which is what happened.
The Alaska oil pipeline runs for 800+ miles across frozen semi-solid terrain a LOT tougher than the Texas border and crosses several rivers.
You’re telling me that it’s impossible to build a fence for 1200 miles through desert scrub? .....Are you serious?
I can find some old former East German border guards that will tell you you’re wrong. And they will be happy to
provide detailed plans for a fence that works.
