You have a very bad problem, the debate is about saving america from the destructive path it is on. Not using government incompetance as an excuse for more government incompetance.

Ricky thumbed his nose at our country and its citizens—— 81% of Americans who do not favor loose immigration polices.

Ricky’s suck up to illegals and to Mexico is nauseating.

So it the children’s fault that they were born in China? Shouldn’t all Chinese children get $100,000 in state aid to attend Texas schools? Shouldn’t Ethiopian kids? Is it their fault they were born in Ethiopia? And why shouldn’t we give Somalian kids welfare? Or South African kids Medicaid? Was it their fault they were born in South Africa?

How about Oklahomans? Is it my fault I was born in Oklahoma?

Baloney casinva...

Here's Perry's own words on his drive to unite the borders of Mexico with the US...as follows

Gov. Perry....."We must continue to deepen our economic ties (with Mexico), expanding opportunities for Mexican and U.S. companies to do business on both sides of the border. We share a bond as neighbors, and we find.... "our culture north of the Rio Grande to be increasingly defined by the strong traits of people of Hispanic descent."

$6.3 million in funding ...'to hook up colonia residents in six mexican border cities to water and wastewater lines.'.... More than 18,000 residents will benefit from these water or wastewater hookups. Texas voters can ENSURE that their Mexican neighbors in colonias have quality roads so that school buses, emergency vehicles and postal trucks can reach residents, and residents can get to a job or a school reliably.

http://governor.state.tx.us/news/speech/10688/

Perry in no way is interested in doing anything about illegals in his state...the door is wide open....to integrate the entire border.

But he has never lost an election. So is he counting on winning with 'illegals' votes, and the impure, high minded, moderate, centrists votes.

I didn't see anyone actually refer the the article...
I didn't see any posters here state FACTS;
They seem more intent on muddying the waters;

You're right, Ganndy. I try to spend a lot of my time on FR providing information, not for those twisting truth and misrepresenting situations, but for those folk just reading and wondering what is going on even.

I know FReepers are smart, most probably a lot smarter than I, but I have pretty decent net surfing skills sometimes and can get related info pretty quickly, and I think that is my contribution to helping those folk here who are reading and who might like to have a little extra (correct) info to help base judgements on.

I can give of my time now and then for this, and I pray what little I can provide opens up doors of thought and more research by those who really want to know or understand something here.

I did put my little note of dismay up there earlier on this thread. I think it was my first post to this thread, but really, I just felt overwhelmed seeing the comments earlier on this thread. I really think some people are completely unaware of the fact that it is our federal government and not our states or towns that are supposed to protect our country. However, I also think there are some who are twisting things... as you say muddying the waters.

Whatever was happening there, and in many other conversations these days, it seems people are looking to the wrong people for our nation's protection and security. I wanted the world to know what our country has done to Texas. Our federal government is supposed to protect our states, not the other way around.

You know, I've been thinking about this. I think we (the people of our nation) have been so accustomed to having our government roles so screwed up that we overall can't even seem to accept what our Constitution says anymore! That's such a shame.

Oh well. So I do my little bit here and there getting correct information out as best as I can so that those reading untruths, misrepresentations, or misunderstandings can possibly sit up and say "Hey, wait, let me check something more out there and see..."

Thanks for your note, Ganndy.

Texas Tea Party “Fed Up” with Perry on Immigration
Texas Tribune by Jay Root

Tea Party leaders confronted Rick Perry in his own back yard Monday, calling on him to use his power as Texas governor to crack down on illegal immigration.

The activists, representing Tea Party groups from around the state, want Perry to either sign an executive order or call the Legislature back into a special session to enact a ban on so-called sanctuary cities. They also want him to eliminate a policy that they say discourages the state police from enforcing federal immigration laws.

After holding a press conference about it at the Capitol, the group delivered petitions from more than 3,000 Texans who want the governor to act now.

“Gov. Perry needs to clarify his position on illegal immigration, and he needs to come back to Texas and to finish the people’s unfinished business,” said JoAnn Fleming, chair of the Tea Party Caucus Advisory Committee of the Texas Legislature. “The ball is in Gov. Perry’s court. He needs to make a decision. He’s running out of time.”

In mocking tones, Fleming threw Perry’s signature phrase “fed up” — the title of his Washington-bashing book — right back at the governor. “We’re fed up, too, Gov. Perry, and we’re ready for you to take care of this issue,” she said.

I believe the issue you are referring to is considered “free trade” and a “free market system”.
___

Free Trade: Free trade is a system of trade policy that allows traders to trade across national boundaries without interference from the respective governments. According to the law of comparative advantage the policy permits trading partners mutual gains from trade of goods and services.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_trade

___

Free Market: A free market is a market free from state intervention. However, the term is also commonly used for markets in which economic intervention and regulation by the state is limited to tax collection, and enforcement of private ownership and contracts. It is the opposite of a controlled market, in which the state directly regulates how goods, services and labor may be used, priced, or distributed, rather than relying on the mechanism of supply and demand. Advocates of a free market traditionally consider the term to imply that the means of production is under private, and not state control or co-operative ownership.

No I am speaking to Perry’s agenda of establishing unity between Mexico and his state border...just as I stated.

You can color it as simply a matter of “free trade” but Perry is not going to stop anything which builds up the “community” of integration he has more than welcomed on Texas and Mexico borders.....he stands to benefit greatly for enlarging and co-operating with Fox in establishing a “mexican foothold” joining his state...and this without concern for our national security.

We have a border or we do not. If we do not enforce our border laws to the fullest extent then we are not a nation at all. How is it that we accept laws to ‘assist’ people who are not even LEGALLY here? Do you find this acceptable?

Yes or no?

It is very sad when people think trusting our Constitution and wanting to see our country act as our Founding Fathers had envisioned is a "bad problem".

"We, the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow men who pervert the Constitution." Abraham Lincoln

“Then by all means, encourage your candidate to start rounding up the childern of illegals for mass deportation at the school house doors!”

Jeeze, are you and Cincinnati the only ones left on Perry’s payroll?

Anyway, we’re talking about rounding up ADULTS (i.e., people over 18), not children (at least in the vast majority of cases). So the question is whether you have a problem rounding up ADULT illegals? If so, you’re a bit out of touch with FR, and should probably hang out in a Chamber of Commerce website or something like that.

I'm sorry, but the above just went totally over my head. Perhaps you wanted that. If so, you succeeded. Congratulations.

You just need to do more homework on what is occurring on Perry’s border. Visit the Border Patrol site....take a look at the Globalist agenda concerning Canada, mexico and the US as one trade block.

Perry is a part of this and why the border will never have a fence nor will it be secured.
