Does Mexico not already have socialized or a form of socialized medicine? If so, then why the need for this plan? And are American health insurance companies not allowed to sell insurance anywhere but the U.S.???? U.S. health insurers can only sell within a single state. State health insurance is like auto insurance and electric rates. All are handled at the state level. Selling across state lines is one thing Republicans wanted to do to lower costs instead of Obamacare. Dems wouldn't even consider it because it would put a lot of state bureaucrats out of work. Their union buddies trump all good policy.

Because everytime the illegal crosses, he runs the risk of getting caught. If he is insured on this side of the border he/she has one LESS REASON TO GO AND STAY IN MEXICO.
