I’m saying that your population isn’t lockstep with your legislature. There seem to be a lot of Texans I read about not on board with the tuition thing, the border issues etc. The people of Texas seem to be more conservative than those representing.
So why is Perry the longest running Governor in Tx history?
Texas has had, and always will have, a “special relationship” with Mexico.
There are Tejano families that have been there since independence from Mexico.
No governor of Texas (as long as they elect them) is going to be a restrictionist.
That said, I posted here in early September that Perry wouldn’t last until Thanksgiving, and nothing so far has changed my mind.
