Straw polls are nice, but they rarely indicate the winner in primaries. I hope this changes.

It depends on the straw poll. Ronald Reagan won the Florida straw poll in 1979, George H.W. Bush in 1987 and Kansas Sen. Bob Dole in 1995.

Actually, every candidate to win this poll went on to win the Republican nomination since 1979 :-)

I agree however because he won (and didn’t pay anyone), his name is all over the place so people might check out who he is.
