I have this feeling that Cain is going to play a MAJOR role in the next Republican Presidency.

The debate last week reminded me of when I was young, single and dating.
I would have a girlfriend everything would be fine, then WHAM! Without warning I’d look at her, and all that I’d found attractive about her would be gone. Time for her to go.
Well, that happened during the debate. After Perry’s unsuccessful attack on Romney and Perry with that $hit eating grin on his face, WHAM! Perry was history.

Agree. I might have to watch C-Spam and the silly Yik-Yak shows tomorrow. It is certain their fav newspapers, the compost and slimes had articles all ready to go on either a Perry or Mittens win.
Now what? The only black guy in a field of honkies polled best in a SOUTHERN STATE full of racists and former slave owners.
How could this be?
To: Noob1999
Perhaps, if nothing else, it may show that Cain would make an effective vice presidential candidate. And might split the black vote. Good point!
I have a hunch we could see a Cain/Newt2012 Ticket

Given the overall national mood, the Hermaninator wouldn’t need to split off that much. If he just takes 12%, that pretty much dooms 0bama’s chances.

I have a feeling that Obama is going to drop Biden from the ticket and add Hillary to prop up his sagging chances of re-election. They may have struck the deal already in return for her not challenging him for the nomination.
If that is the case, a Palin/Cain ticket will be the perfect counterpunch as it completely neutralizes the historical angle of the first woman/black ticket that the Dems would have played up bigtime. Comes with the extra bonus that Herman Cain and Sarah Palin are actually likable people who love this country, have actual executive experience and are true conservatives. Might be the biggest landslide in electoral history and bring many blacks into the conservative fold.

Straw polls are nice, but they rarely indicate the winner in primaries. It depends on the straw poll. Ronald Reagan won the Florida straw poll in 1979, George H.W. Bush in 1987 and Kansas Sen. Bob Dole in 1995.

Palin is a supporter of immigration reform (AKA Amnesty).

Herman Cain upsets Rick Perry in Florida straw poll That's ridiculous! Cain won. Period. And he did it by the strength of his own arguments.

Well, that’s two of us. But I suspect there are plenty more like us, waiting (without much hope he’ll win) in the wings.
