Yet Arizona doesn't have a dog in the nomination fight. It also got a lot of its laws defanged by the WH and the DOJ.
Perry supported Arizona attempts, but lives in reality - until we have conservatives in both Houses and the WH, the States are pretty much screwed and can only make the best of the situation until such time as the border is controlled.
Perry does not support Arizona. Perry, by his own admission, supports amnesty. Aside from that, I've never really seen him get into the trenches and defend an embattled conservative position. Romney got in the wrong trench and defended the wrong positions several times. He's a Democrat. Perry just avoided the hard battles altogether. Eventually, he'll have to defend a position and, unlike Brewer, Bachmann, or Palin, we don't really know how that will turn out. We do know, however, that he is pro-amnesty which is not a conservative position so, what does that make him besides "anybody but Obama".
but lives in reality
he has done nothing to alter that reality, and has done much to exacerbate it and exploit it. He is a pro-amnesty RINO and, call me heartless if you want, I have no doubt that he will do nothing to secure the border and will sign off on an amnesty bill if it crosses his desk. I may vote for him anyways if it's between him and Obama but I don't trust him much more than I trust Obama to be honest, not on immigration at least which is a pretty big issue. My only reassuring thought is that conservatives will have the house and senate in 2013 and both turd sandwich and giant douche bag will have to deal with that.
