God gave me my son. We would deal with whatever came our way. If it meant working two jobs each and living out of a box, so be it. I loved him already and was ready to fight for him.
Thankfully, he was perfect.
That doesn't mean he's going to stay that way. NO ONE has a guarantee that we will live our lives perfectly content and physically intact. What do we do with our loved ones then? Late late late term abortion?

Given that my mom -still- keeps saying her ‘real kid’ was stolen by gypsies at the hospital, I’m not so sure she’d have kept me, had she known beforehand.

Some parents love “societal uniformity and perfection”; others cherish the unique idiosyncrasies of their kids.
