If I were Mexico, I would be worried. Very worried.

This is the government that moved into Libya without getting approval of Congress because things were in chaos there.

It is also the government has been telling its citizens to think of the government as part of their family. (You know — the mooching, tax-raising part of the family.)

Now they are telling Mexico that Mexico is part of the family. And what does daddy do when the kids misbehave and start shooting each other (with guns that “daddy” let walk south of the border)? Why you have to just step in and *do* something. (It’s a Progressive thing. Look at Woodrow Wilson and Vera Cruz.)

After all, there is an election next year, and you know what they say works to distract attention from domestic problems. . .

Too farfetched. The Mexican government has more influence over the US government than American citizens do - until there is a sea change in D.C. they are 100% safe to continue their narco-state status quo.
