Gloom pervades the land. Some people believe its the economy. Others blame the weather. I think its because the country is gradually coming to grips with the fact that Mitt Romney is going to be the Republican nominee for president.

Times Topics: Rick Perry | Mitt Romney Readers Comments Share your thoughts. Post a Comment » It is a scientific fact. Every minute, somewhere in America, another citizen realizes that Mitt is going to be in our face for the next 14 months. Conceivably for the next nine years. Children now in third grade might graduate from high school without ever experiencing a totally Romney-free day.
This is not something Im happy pointing out. For one thing, I dont want to believe I live in a country that would seriously consider bestowing the nations highest office on a man who once drove to Canada with the family dog strapped to the roof of the car. Plus, we have barely gotten started on Rick Perry, the last great Mitt alternative. Have you noticed how huge his chest and shoulders are? Looming over his lectern at Thursdays debate, he looked like a float.

This campaign hasn’t even started, as far as I’m concerned.
If this was the last debate I would write Perry off, however this is only the beginning of a long (and tedious) string of debates.
done already?
Nice try, Gail. You’re not going to choose our candidate this time.
The liberal commie rag paper is now telling us who will be the next GOP nominee.
Next up, Chris Christie?
I think it is advisable that people pay no attention to what the leftwing “media” has to say about Republican business. WE will watch each candidate and vet them thoroughly before WE decide who our candidate will be.
Ronald Reagan had a similar bad debate night (against Carter (general election).
I think Americans just dont know sometimes which Mitt Romney theyre dealing with. Is it the Mitt Romney that was on the side of against the Second Amendment before he was for the Second Amendment? Was it was before he was before the social programs from the standpoint of he was for standing up for Roe versus Wade before he was against first Roe versus Wade? Him he was for Race to the Top. Hes for Obamacare and now hes against it. I mean, well wait until tomorrow and and and see which Mitt Romney were really talking to tonight.
That was the most cringe-inducing embarrassment of any GOP debate that I can remember.
Nor do I need to hear Gail Collins tell me that she thinks the GOP nominee will be “Myth” Romney. The worst of all possible nominees.
With Willard's lack of a spine and ever changing positions on the issues, Obama will beat him bloody.
Meanwhile back in the real world Perry still leads in all the critical states by double digits.
I don’t know who will be the Republican nominee for President, but it WILL NOT BE Mitt Romney.
Last night, there was SUPPOSED to be a debate. I missed the debate, but I DID see the most embarrassing episode so far of absolute ineptitude from several grade c actor-politicians on a stage too small to hold their egos.
It is downright horrifying that this is what is put before us as “choices” at the most critical time America has faced since WWII. ANY of them would be like committing suicide...just slightly slower than we are now.
Milt-the-Backstabber Romney will NEVER be the GOP nominee.
He is a dog abuser who installed RomneyCARE.
Not enuf? He is a tax enforcer who calls them “fees”.
Not enuf? ROMNEY IS NOT ELIGIBLE.
If you don’t know, how can you say who It Will Not Be?
Let’s face it, this guy is basically incoherent. And incoherent isn’t going to beat Obama, not with the media and academe and the rest of the leftwing establishment behind him.
If you don’t know, how can you say who It Will Not Be?
Well, got news for you. It will be Mitt Romney unless people get off Perry’s back, or unless Palin comes in.
I’d forgotten that Romney is a dog abuser. Need some pictures of that resurrected.
