I have long felt that a triple strand concertina wire fence followed by a posted, in multiple languages, mine field followed by another triple strand concertina wire fence would get the job done much better and cheaper than “The Wall”!
But what is that but "A Wall"? And what is a "Wall" except a "barrier" meant to keep illegals from entering our country? And why can't people understand that those of us wanting a "Wall" simply use it as a common term for one of many methods for protecting our border from incursion? Beefing up the border patrol? Sure. Putting real meat into our current immigration laws by enforcing them, going after those who employ illegals and some form of barrier to at the least minimize the potential for incursion will go a long way.
Most of all, once the carrot is removed, there will be little reason for the incursion, and little reason for those already here to stay. And by "carrot" I include work, health and education benefits, potential amnesty, and any chance of becoming an American citizen. Unless you come here through lawful means we don't want ya.
