Republican conservative sounding candidates that present themselves as nutbags are Christmas presents for Democrats, then when we feel forced to circle the wagons and justify statements that make little sense that is their Birthday presents too rolled into the holiday. I made a rule for myself based on her, THE ANGLE RULE.
Sort of a lose/lose scenario.
There is a trade-off between “smooth talking” candidates like Romney and candidness who will speak candidly. No, I am not saying Perry should be the nominee either.
Another way of saying this is there is a trade-off between the chance of electing a decent conservative vs. a RINO who seems to have a better chance of being elected. The problem is, the probabilities change as the election nears. Maybe a conservative would have beaten Obama, but it was McCain’s turn.
With 20-20 hindsight, we think that other conservatives probably would have beaten Reid. Or would they? Hispanics voted 8614 against Fiorina, and 8119 against Ken Buck. Should we blame the primary voters in NV for voting for Angle? The NRA was also really grateful to Reid for the Pork, and the unions were much better organized than the GOP.
